I was very excited to read this post by Cyberscribe recently, where he challenged some of us to take part in ‘Your Messages’. It’s a blog-style project where readers respond to a 300-word post with their own 300-word post, which somehow links to the original. Sounds fun, and there’s a new post every day this month – you have 24 hours to respond to each one. Then the organisers are going to pick the best response from each day and put them into Real Published Book. So, obviously I am doing this. Deadlines, fresh subject matter, no desperate scrambling for inspiration, and the possiblility of actually being published? I’m there!
My dilemma is, can I actually get away with using my daily ‘response’ entries as my own blog entries? I fear the answer may be no, as my blog is generally a personal diary-style effort, whereas I’ll have to try my hand at being arty and poetic in this other caper. Maybe I can sneak the odd one in, here and there, on days when I’m particularly short of time. No one will notice. If you do, kindly pretend not to.

I might have a go in a day or two. Everyday would be a bit much for dear old me.
I posted my first entry earlier, and don’t worry, I’m still going by “Hails”! Cannot fathom all the anonymous ones. I mean, why?!
