The incident to which The Sister (or, more accurately, Google Translator) refers actually happened about 5 years ago, when I was living in Glasgow. I’d forgotten about that. Or blocked it from my memory, whatever. I can see I’m going to have to let others in on the embarrassing tale in a separate blog post, now that my little sister has ratted me out. Aren’t they meant to stop doing that when they’re in their twenties? ;)

No, I know for a fact that I had my purse on the Metro, having taken a ticket out of it, gone through the barrier, and put the purse safely back in my bag. I’m telling you – it was an invisible thief.

I’m wondering if The Sister is right though, and maybe you left the purse (wallet) in a taxi – in the incident I haven’t read about yet – especially since you say it wasn’t crowded on the Metro, and you didn’t see or feel a thing. I know pickpockets are very clever, but velcro and a zip and you didn’t feel it, in an UNcrowded place. Yikes, he or she would have to be good!

I’d ring the taxi people and ask! And certainly keep getting back to the Objets Trouve people.
