Do you still want a Silly Hat?

Today’s post is something of a non-post because I’m in the middle of moving to a different apartment (more on that when I’ve got time) and – horror of horrors – it doesn’t have an internet connection yet. Fortunately just about every bar, café and shopping mall in the immediate area does, and these are free to use, so I can always go and sit on a bench somewhere and check my email. But if you think I’m going to walk to the mall in the cold and wet to post endless blog entries for you, you’re sadly mistaken! This is your lot, for now.

Oh – well, apart from a Very Important Announcement. Following the general enthusiasm over my humble Silly Hat, knitted last week, I’ve decided to try out a little money-making venture whilst providing you, my dear readers, with a very worthwhile service. From today, I shall be making Silly Hats for anyone who wants them. Are you excited? Are you?!

So, up there at the top of my blog, amongst the information about me, contact details and suchlike, you’ll see that one of the little green tabs is now labelled “Buy A Silly Hat!“. Go there, my friend, and the page will tell you everything you need to know.

I’ll be back when I get internet access. And in the meantime, I’ll be knitting, I suppose…

Merry Christmas!

I’m going to stay with The Parents for a couple of days. Kat’s coming too -we’d be lonely here on our own. Anyway, they don’t have a computer, let alone internet access, so I’ll be taking a break from blogging for a wee while. Don’t worry, I’ll take notes and write it up when I get home…

Hope you all have a great Christmas!

STOP

I am taking the weekend off, starting from when I say the word “now” (excluding that one I just said).

I realise a large part of the weekend has already gone, but by going to bed now (well before midnight!) and then heading off for the day to see Chirpy in Ballynahinch, I feel I can achieve more of a relaxing weekend in the space of 24 hours than I have managed to do over the course of previous weekends in their entirety. Did that make any sense? Probably not, and this just goes to illustrate how burnt out, exhausted and quite frankly Almost Dead I really am. (I also said the word “now”, and that one didn’t count as my starting point, either.)

So, no blog post this weekend. This one doesn’t count because it’s barely even in English. I will return on Monday, and in the meantime here’s a nice soothing picture of Mr. Darcy from The Lake Scene. I find it helpful in most of life’s circumstances.

Time for my weekend to begin. No more thinking, writing, working or rushing. Starting from…. now.

The Blog and the Blogmother

I’m going to a conference being held in Lisburn over the next 3 days. This means there may be a lack of blog activity until it’s over. However, the flip side is that I will no doubt have another ridiculous anecdote (or several) to add to the Driven To Despair saga. I mean, Lisburn? Not a baldy notion, I’m telling you.

In other news, I tried Majella’s Perfect Porridge this morning, and it didn’t taste half bad, nor did it explode, as some unruly breeds of porridge might. Cheers, Nelly.

You’re the perfect Blogmother.

Gone camping

Back Monday night, hopefully with plenty of blog material. You’ll miss me, won’t you?
